Yes, we are a little TWISTED about our belts.

We tightly hand-wrap and hand-cord all of our tassels, with coordinating or matching trim. Yarns are gathered from many sources and can be as varied as the materials and trims we use on our belts. We strive to bring a rich decadence to our belts, and color is of utmost importance so the variety is earthy and organic, just like the dance style portrayed by the dancer who wears them!

Our Fringe Belts are made with rich lambswool and acrylic blend yarns as well as specialty yarns. Each belt is braided, knotted, macramed and entertwined for an endless variety of looks. You can add tassels in a variety of ways. Afghan coins and cowrie shells give your belt a polished look, or keep it plain to wear under a tassel belt or mix and match with your own pieces . Twisted Tassels Tribal Belts are made with sensuous tapestry materials and rich brocades. Each belt is double-sided and double-stitched on the edges. The tassels are sewn into the belt as is the hand-braided ties with coordinating yarns. Add some fringe or make a separate fringe belt, it's up to you. Perizad will do her best to make a belt that you want, with your colors, and style. That's why we don't stock belts, they're specially made for your special request, there's nothing "stock" about them.

Our Trims - Perizad hand picks every trim to coordinate with the yarns and materials of each belt. The variety is endless - weaves, tasseled, double tasseled, macramed, woven patterns, loops, double loops. Line trims and shisha mirrors, special elements such as Afghan coins, cowrie shells and antique panels including banjara pieces bring it all together, and Perizad's expertise will ensure you that your belt will last through many a performance for years to come.
