ANCIENT CALLINGS STUDIO
ATS classes are now being taught in Hudson Valley and the Catskills of New York. Come study
at Perizad's studio, Ancient Callings, located in Olivebridge, where you can enjoy the ambience of ancient times. This very communal
and beautiful improvisational style of Middle Eastern dance fusion is meant to be shared with others in a tribe or troupe atmosphere.
Perizad's specialty is Gypsy Tribal Style, created from dance stylings that honor the Romany people. Both ATS and GTS honors
you as a woman, brings you closer to your feminine power, raises your spiritual consciousness, and brings together women in a communal
gathering that is both beneficial to the individual and the "tribe", joining each one in a dance of true ancient origins. Classes
focus on isolations, synchronization, cues and transitions and technical emphasis through improv using cues, combos and choreographed
dance movements. Perizad is also a member of the Ulster BOCES Arts Program Co-Service, serving the surrounding communities
by offering special school programs and presentations. She helps support student mentoring programs for the performing arts,
specifically ethnic dance.
